With a speaking history spanning more than twelve years, Worlds Apart has reached hundreds of thousands of young people, youth workers and parents across North America; challenging individuals to carefully examine the ways each of us respond and interact with modern media. Worlds Apart speaks with courage and conviction on sensitive, current issues affecting youth including self-injury, suicide, substance abuse, sexuality, music and faith in our modern age.
The Bands
Amanda is a visionary songstress from the wide-open prairies of Manitoba, Canada. Her childhood was spent on the family farm exploring her imagination and love of music.Above all, Amanda is passionate about seeing people encounter the Presence and power of God’s extravagant love and is thrilled to be able to write and sing her own experiences while pointing others in the direction of the Hope she has found.
As a songwriter, Drew's focus is on connecting the world and the church to God through music. His vision is to provide songs that speak of his journey with the One who saved him…but in a way that can be understood and captured by both churched and unchurched. He has seen first-hand how music can change people. And that inspires him to create music infused with intimate moments, guitar-driven grooves and ambient landscapes – telling stories, personal yet universal, about love, loss and faith.
